Windmill Lane is an idyllic setting running along the west side of Kerridge Hill and is formerly known as the ‘top road’ by old Bollingtonians. Historically the lane was used for quarrying and coal mining and two major items of interest along the lane are Clayton’s Tower and Victoria Bridge.
