The property is located in Poundbury. Poundbury is a new town or urban extension on the outskirts of Dorchester in the county of Dorset. It is approximately 8.9 miles north of Weymouth, 20.6 miles southeast of Yeovil and 29.4 miles west of Bournemouth. The nearest airport is Bournemouth approximately 31.2 miles northeast which provides both national and international flights.
The area consists of mainly residential properties with some ground floor retail shops and a commercial area to the south of the town. The area has a number of small private businesses such as convenience stores, restaurants and pubs. Poundbury currently provides employment for over 2,000 people in over 180 businesses. Poundbury has two primary schools in the catchment area: The Prince of Wales and Damers First School which relocated to the town from Dorchester. There is a Community Church in the town which was opened by the Prince of Wales in 2018
