GENERAL REMARKS AND STIPULATIONS
The Whole – Farmland: The total area of arable land at Littleton Farm in all is about 488.5 acres. According to the Soil Survey of England and Wales, the land lies over Andover 1 soils, known to be good, shallow, well drained and silty soils over chalk. The soils are classified as Grade 3 agricultural land.
Moreover, there are various areas of woodland and stewardship strips for wildlife and conservation purposes, that have been successfully implemented. A restricted byway and multiple other farm roads, provide convenient routes to the fields throughout the year.
The Shoot: The shoot has always been “family run”, with a degree of involvement by students from Sparsholt College. Varying in size from 30 bird days to 300 bird days, the farm is capable of hosting circa 10 days in a typical season, between September and January. Recently the shoot has been run as a 170 bird day for 6 guns.
Woodland at Littleton Farm: The majority of the woodland at Littleton Farm was planted 30 years ago by the current owner of the farm.
Method of Sale: The freehold of Littleton Farm is offered for sale. In the event that individual parts of the estates are sold by private treaty, then the disposal will be solely in respect of the specific part of the estate discussed between the parties.
