Description

Located within the OLD TOWN which offers a selection of local shops and businesses, whilst more comprehensive amenities can be found in the town centre. There is also excellent access to London via the A1 junction 7 or 8 and the Stevenage station which provides access to Kings Cross.

The Sellers view - "As you approach our home you're welcomed by a set of double doors providing access to a spacious porch for coats and shoes. The Hallway leads excellently on to our living room which is dual aspect, home office, kitchen, dining room, study, WC and stairs to the first floor. Whilst getting the food on the go you're able to keep an eye on the kids from our kitchen to the garden. I love our kitchen, we have plenty of prep space with the Corian work surfaces. An induction hob and double oven are built in, there is also space and plumbing for a fridge freezer and dishwasher. Our breakfast room in the morning is such a pleasant space to read the newspaper and enjoy a tea or coffee. Within the living room we have a stone built fireplace, it's a cozy space especially, we have enjoyed watching many movies and had some great memories in here. Although for some years we haven't used our dining room to host, it's now become our kids reception space, but in the past we have comfortably been able to invite 12 over for a meal. We work from home and the office can be nice a peaceful zone, that being said I sometimes get distracted with noticing the wildlife in the garden. When guests are over the downstairs A WC is found underneath the stairs and is handy for preventing guest to go up the stairs, it's clean and pleasant and also has a window in there. Off the breakfast room we have our utility space, enabling space and plumbing for a washing machine and tumble dryer. To complete the ground floor we have our double garage, if you wanted a home gym, pool table room or home cinema this space is big enough, all the kids have hobbies so for us it's been the dumping ground for bikes, golf clubs, fishing gear etc. When it comes to upstairs our children never argued about what bedroom they wanted when first moving here, they're all so fair in size. In a busy household the two bathrooms create a stress free zone, power showers provides great pressure in the family bathroom and en-suite. We will be very sad to leave our neighbours, everyone is so kind and looks out for each other.

Ricky's view - Nestled on a spacious, mature plot in a respected, peaceful cul-de-sac of similar detached homes, this property is located near the end of Rectory Lane, just a short distance from St Nicholas Church. A charming family home which boasts five generously sized double rooms and well-proportioned living spaces, creating a comfortable environment for a growing family. The property features beautifully maintained gardens both at the front and rear. The back garden enjoys a private aspect with a curved paved terrace across the full width of the property extending to a raised wooden deck with children's play area extending to a raised wooden deck. Garden beyond laid predominantly to lawn flanked by shrub borders with garden shed to one corner and gated access to the front of the property. To the front you will find a block paved driveway providing ample off-road parking for several vehicles and has great curb appeal with the well maintained grass and well stocked shrub borders. Within a five minute walk you can be in open fields to walk the dog or enjoy some exercise. On the flip side you're a short stumble away from the Marquis of Granby to drink away something refreshing. Having to get through the school rush hour shouldn't be a thing here, as many primary and secondary schools are all within walking distance. Lister is 0.7 miles away and should provide peace of mind that it is only round the corner. Sainsbury's is just passed the hospital too for convenience when forgetting any last minute ingredients. Down the North Road and on to Gravely High Street will lead you to Chestfield Downs Golf Club which has an 18 hole, 9 hole, driving range, gym and fantastic club house too.
