Description
Lot 5 Foxhole Farmhouse – 1.23 acres (0.49 hectares)
An attractive weatherboarded farmhouse, set in an idyllic rural location with views over adjoining farmland. The farmhouse has recently been refurbished and is presented in good order throughout, with generously proportioned rooms, good ceiling heights and period features; including exposed beams, and an impressive inglenook fireplace.
The accommodation of about 2,190 sq ft is arranged over two floors and currently comprises two reception rooms, a study/play room, a kitchen/breakfast room, w.c, utility, four bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Outside, there is ample parking, a range of outbuildings and the immediate gardens extend to the front, rear and side, backing onto the adjoining farmland.
Location
Greenhurst and Foxhole Farms are situated down a long driveway and set in unspoilt East Sussex countryside, within the small rural hamlet, High Hurstwood. High Hurstwood has its own primary school, church and a popular country pub, The Hurstwood.
Uckfield 3.9 miles and Crowborough 5.5 miles provide more extensive shopping facilities, including several supermarkets, high street shops, leisure centres and schools. Further shopping, restaurants and leisure facilities can be found in the popular spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, about 11 miles to the north.
Buxted station is about 2.1 miles and has a service to London Bridge in a little over an hour. Tunbridge Wells has a mainline station to Cannon Street/Charing Cross. Gatwick airport is about 22 miles, as is the M23 which links onto the M25 and national motorway networks, and the A21 can be joined at Tunbridge Wells.
The area is extremely well served for schooling, with a selection of local primaries. Uckfield and Crowborough both have community colleges. There are independent and state junior schools in Crowborough. Further noteworthy schools in the area include: Skippers Hill Preparatory School in Five Ashes; Mayfield School for girls; Michael Hall (Rudolph Steiner) School in Forest Row; Brambletye School in East Grinstead; Cumnor House near Haywards Heath; Holmewood House Preparatory School in Langton Green.
