The village is a 5 minutes walk next to the sea and there is a wide choice of tavernas, plus a mini-market and a couple of seasonal gift shops. Below the house, near the beach is sheltered harbour, with another harbour by the village.

Aghios Nikolaos and Sitia are at 30/35 kms each; Heraklion airport at 100 kms.
