Additional Info

Regent's Park has been in the ownership of the Crown since the 16th Century and was largely designed for the Prince Regent by John Nash to create a garden city concept of villas, terraces and crescents. Building began in 1812, and by 1826 almost all the terraces were completed or at least put in hand. Chester Place is a small Terrace and all of the houses are original and as such contain a wealth of period features. Chester Place is located next to Chester Terrace which is the longest unbroken terrace of all (nearly 300 metres). A private road serves Chester Place, and a private garden for the residents' use, which runs the entire length of Chester Terrace, separates it from the Outer Circle.
