Communal Physio Sessions are available every other week. The Grange has a weekly visiting hairdresser and a chiropodist visits every 6 weeks. There is also available a private, self employed, domestic.

Live-in management offers help and advice, with a 24-hour emergency response service. The Manager is in the office 9.30- 2 pm Monday – Friday and the live-in Deputy Manager is on duty at all other times. A Residential Relief Manager covers the weekend. All the on duty staff respond to an emergency call and advice on care services is available.

Guest Suite
On the first floor there is an elegant guest room with TV and an en suite shower, available for guests visiting their relatives or prospective residents viewing apartments and living a distance away. The guest room is also for the relief managers at the weekend, so is only available Monday to Thursday nights inclusive. However, on occasion, it is possible for the staff to alter their rotas and allow for weekend bookings. There is a kettle, microwave, toaster and small fridge. The cost is £20 for the first night and £15 for subsequent nights

The grounds, extending to 3 acres, are beautifully maintained and lead down past a large pond to a country walk, making it ideal for dog owners and walkers alike. Pets are welcome in the ground floor apartments and by arrangement, depending on suitability, on the first and second floors. The apartment includes an allocated parking space and use of guest parking spaces on a first come first served basis. The communal grounds are beautifully maintained and include an ornamental pond, croquet lawn and various areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings.


Motcombe Grange is situated in a private position in the popular village of Motcombe, within a Conservation Area. The village has a shop, church, a highly regarded primary school and the Coppleridge Inn pub.

The local towns of Shaftesbury and Gillingham (where there is a Waitrose) are a short drive away. Salisbury and Bath are all easily accessible with a more extensive range of shops, restaurants, cinemas and theatres.

Communications in the area are excellent with the A303 about 7 miles to the north providing a link to the M3, M25, London or the West Country. Gillingham Station (3 miles) offers services to London Waterloo taking from 1 hour 58 minutes.

Port Regis School incorporates the facilities of Motcombe Park Sports Centre. These include a 25 metre swimming pool, sauna, a nine hole golf course, tennis and squash courts. Membership is available to residents of Motcombe Grange.

The surrounding countryside is ideal for a variety of rural pursuits such as walking, cycling and fishing. Racing is at Wincanton, Bath and Salisbury, whilst golf can be enjoyed at Rushmore Park. Poole, Weymouth and the Dorset coast are all within easy reach.
