Weavers Lodge is a Development of 50 one and two bedroom retirement apartments located on Camps Road in the market town of Haverhill, Suffolk. Close to the boarders of Cambridgeshire and Essex, surrounded by amazing countryside, stunning views and scenic walks.
The Lodge was named Weavers Lodge after Haverhill’s prosperity and history link to the weaving trade and just down the road from the development is a row of weaver’s cottages and opposite is the recreation ground donated by Mr W.B. Gurteen who owned the largest of the weaving factories and is still an important part of town.
The bustling town is part pedestrianised and has major high street retailers, large number of independent shops, eateries, cafes and a regular market that supplies the needs of the town and the surrounding district.
In the centre of town, an Arts Centre is in situ catering for all ages, offering a selection of theatrical shows and cinema previews all year round. Surrounding the town is a Tesco’s, library and Haverhill Leisure Park. The Leisure Park has numerous restaurants, and a Cineworld cinema. For the more active members of the community a leisure centre and nearby golf club is an option for some gentle exercise.
Getting around Haverhill couldn’t be easier too with the buses that run every 30 minutes around town and to nearby towns, villages and to the city centre of Cambridge. You can also get to Cambridge by car on the A11, or take the M11 motorway down towards the M25 and London is just 64 miles away. Travelling abroad is easy too, with London Stanstead Airport only 21 miles away making Haverhill an ideal place to live.

The apartment has an emergency Careline system installed, monitored by the onsite Lodge Manager during the day and 24 hours, 365 days a year by the Careline team.
