Two world renowned disembarkments by British and American forces took place in Nettuno and Anzio during World War II. Furthermore, a number of beautiful beach locations can be reached within a 15 to 30 minute ride: Circeo (also famous for a national park), Foce Verde, Sabaudia, Torre Astura.
