Weymouth, Dorchester and Upwey itself all have train stations on the main line to London Waterloo.


Head towards Weymouth and Portland from Dorchester on the A354. As you descend down the hill take the left hand slip road signposted for Upwey. At the T junction take the left and follow this under the railway bridge. At the next junction turn right onto Dorchester Road. Continue until you reach the first right hand turn into Elwell Street, signposted The Old Ship Inn. Turn right here and then take the immediate right into The Ridgeway which takes you uphill. As you reach The Old Ship Inn there is a small turning on your right, the cottage can be found on this lane on the left hand side.
