Property description

The house is very beautiful, with a nice kitchen, two nice size bedrooms, a good size living room and two bathrooms. The private garden is stunning, with a beautiful gazebo in the middle, one very big shed on the top of the house, and two more newly built sheds, one used as a spare bedroom, and the other for storage space. One side of the garden has three big levels, like terraces that can be used for planting your own fruit and veg, and the other side is flat, where the gazebo is, that is used as a recreational area. The house has new central heating fuelled by methane, which is a very cheap and green way of heating the place, plus a fireplace in the kitchen to add to the charm to the property. The two bedrooms are of a nice size to sleep four. The most beautiful feature of the property is the garden and particularly the view that looks down at the valley, and its surrounding mountains, and the village with the castle to the left, making for a magical background where you will be able to sit and enjoy the scenery while chilling in this beautiful, and very peaceful and friendly medieval village. The village has plenty of history, the town square is just gorgeous with the castle on one side and the church on the other, and this is the place where you will go to chill with a glass Italian wine while meeting the locals friendly and peaceful people who live a very laid back lifestyle. In the valley, you will find three natural sources of mountain water, and the river Tirino which is considered the cleanest river in Europe. The village is 40 minutes drive from the beach, 30 minutes drive from the nearest airport (Pescara) where you can fly to and from Stanstead airport, and two hours drive from the capital city Rome, where you may wish to fly to if you're not flying from Stanstead, and to visit the Italian capital city with its unique world-famous landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Spanish steps, the Vatican City and a plethora of beautiful historical buildings, squares and magic fountain like the Trevi fountain. The village is also a short drive from a beautiful and unique ski resort, from where you can ski and see the sea in the horizon. The food culture and local dishes are not to be missed, and food lovers will love the quality of mostly home-grown organic meats and vegetables. Make sure to visit Capestrano as it really is a magical place. Abruzzo is known as "the greenest region in Europe" as almost half of its territory, the largest in Europe, is set aside as national parks and protected nature reserves. There are three national parks, one regional park, and 38 protected nature reserves. These ensure the survival of 75% of Europe's living species, including rare species such as the golden eagle, the Abruzzo (or Abruzzese) chamois, the Apennine wolf and the Marsican brown bear. Abruzzo is also home to Calderone, Europe's southernmost glacier. If you are looking for a holiday home, retirement home, or just simply a get-away place where you can switch off when needed, Capetrano is the ideal place and it won't let you down. Make sure to get in touch to find out more and to negotiate a fair price.
