What do you love most about your home?

We love the period features: high ceilings and large windows make the property feel bright and airy, the flat has original shutters in the bedroom and a gorgeous fireplace and floorboards in the living room. We've been able to put our own stamp on the property while we've lived here, but the character of the building itself is just fantastic. Having a large garden is a real plus for those who are green fingered, or just those who like to host barbecues with lots of their friends! Having a spare room big enough to take a double bed has been so useful when we've had friends come to visit London and stay with us too.

Why are you moving?

We're looking to upsize to a family-sized house. We love the area so much though we will most likely be moving within a 10-minute walk though!

What do you love about the area?

The area around the flat itself is very green and there are lots of local parks, the largest of which is Alexandra Palace Park, which we walk through on weekend mornings to go to the weekly farmers market. You can also walk through the Park to get to Crouch End and Muswell Hill which we often do with guests when they are visiting London. More locally: there are two great pubs within a 5-10 minute walk, the Starting Gate and the Prince; there are excellent Turkish restaurants in Wood Green, and other great eating options such as the Green Rooms (Japanese food); and a board game cafe that is on a double decker bus next to the tube station! Wood Green also has a really large range of shops on the High Road and in the mall - which are always handy, but were particularly so when we were moving in and decorating the flat.

Transport is excellent from the flat. You can be at Leicester Square in under 30 minutes, and besides the tube there are a multitude of buses and national rail going into the City.
