What do you love most about your home? We viewed so many properties before finding this flat, as our 'must have' list was rather long! We wanted a flat with great natural light, outdoor space, away from the main road, within easy walking distance to multiple public transport options and close to parks. What didn't make it onto our list at the time but we've since been immensely grateful for stumbling upon, is the community both inside the building and in Catford more broadly.
Why are you moving? Our hobbies (woodworking, large scale painting) and the expansion of our family have overtaken the available floorspace despite the immense amount of built in storage the flat has. We're definitely staying in the area though - wouldn't live anywhere else!
What do you love about the area? The options for food, entertainment, and physical fitness close by are diverse with both new ventures and established businesses. From our favorite Indian restaurant (Babur, 30+ years) to the pop up eateries in Catford Mews (opened last year!), from the Ladywell tennis courts which have been there for ages to Yoga House (2 years ago?), to the new cinema in Catford Mews along with the Broadway Theater (1932!), there is always something to see and do. The Catford Market as well as the Catford Arts Trail are not to be missed! We like coffee enough to have our own full-size espresso machine, and still whenever we have the chance we stop at Coffee Cartel (only 8 minutes away) for one of the best coffees in the SE. If sourdough pizza is your thing, you have an amazing place less than 15 minutes away. The view from the top of Blythe Hill (5 minutes away) is amazing - you can see all the way from the City to Canary Wharf which is particularly special whenever there are fireworks!
Beautifully appointed throughout and flooded with natural light, the property offers expansive accommodation comprising; entrance hall with wood flooring (evident through the majority of the property), leading into the bright and spacious reception room with double doors out onto the delightful enclosed private balcony, and ample space for both relaxing and dining. The separate kitchen area comprises a modern range of matching white fronted wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating inset sink unit, gas hob with overhead extractor and electric oven below, and further space for appliances. There are two well sized double bedrooms, with dual aspect and access to a further private balcony from the master, and useful adjoining dressing area to the second bedroom, plus a stylish family bathroom with white three piece suite and elegant tiling.
The property is very conveniently located within easy access of Catford and Catford Bridge stations, as well as numerous regular bus routes. Catford itself is just a short distance away providing an array of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as a popular theatre. The area is also well served by excellent local schools and lovely open spaces including Blythe Hill and Ladywell Fields.
