The top of the land is accessed by a private track, where there is a small building plot which has the remains of a small stone dwelling of approx 70 mq of living space and non habitable rooms underneath (utilities nearby) this plot has spectacular views of the Gran Sasso mountain range and surrounding valleys.

The main house comes with nearly 6 hectares of land composing of truffle farm, approx 140 productive olive trees which produce very good quality olive oil, a small vineyard, woodland (which include oak) and grassland. There is an option to rent the land to a local farmer if a potential buyer does not plan to work the land.

This house has been well loved and restored to a high level, maintaining many original features which give it its charm and although it has been closed for some time and may need some slight maintenance, the proprietor visits regularly to oversee the upkeep.


The town of Basciano is located in a panoramic position to the right of the River Vomano. It is 388 metres above sea level and has a population of 2,434.

The medieval centre rose in the 11th Century, on the site of a Roman settlement, although archaeological finds display human presence since the Bronze and Iron Age.

Bosciano has a range of facilities including food shops, post office, banks, bars and restaurants.

The town hosts many festivals and Basciano is known for its long tradition of chess amongst its residents and there is an annual Chess Tournament during the famous ′Sagra del Prosciutto abruzzese′ (festival of ham), held in August.
