What do you love most about your home?

My home is really cosy and homely, with high ceilings it always feels spacious and I love spending time in it. You can't hear any noise from outside and the bedroom especially, is a sanctuary of peace & quiet. In the winter it stays warm & cosy and during the summer the sun shines bright through the south-facing living room during the day. Ultimately, it's the epitome of "hygge" in a super cool area of London. The period wooden panels around the large windows make the flat feel impressive, like living in a big grand Victorian house - which it is! I also absolutely love our communal garden and use it everyday. I adore my neighbours who are all young professionals and are super friendly & I spend every week with my neighbour opposite. We have such a great community spirit as we have a vested interest in the property because there will be a share of freehold when all flats are sold. There are three left to go.

Why are you moving?

Now that I've written the description, I'm not sure why..... well, I'm moving because I'm in a position to be able to buy a house. It's been a difficult decision because of how much I love living here, although I'm going to give it a go and if I get a buyer then I will hopefully move to Walthamstow where there are houses within my budget.

What do you love about the area?

I love Clapton and it's really difficult to leave because we have so many green spaces on our doorstep. I walk to Hackney Downs every day and to Millfields Park. Millfield leads onto Walthamstow marshes and Hackney marshes to the canal, which goes down to Hackney Wick. The marshes are just the most magical area and feels like countryside in London. During the summer I go horseriding at Leavalley riding school and we spent lots of time in the marshes doing kite boarding & having picnics. Closer to home my favourite place is the Tram Store café. It's so beautiful inside with lots of plants and amazing coffee & breakfast. I also go to Blok gym (3 mins walk) and have regular classes - it's super trendy. And there is Chatsworth Road which is walking distance and lower Clapton Road has the amazing P. Franco where I always get nice wine to take out. Clapton Hart pub is shabby-chic and you can get there in less than 60 seconds. Although I cycle to work (pre-COVID), Clapton station is five minutes walk, which takes you into Liverpool Street station, Walthamstow (Victoria line) & Chingford. Every bus stops in Clapton so I never have to worry about how to get anywhere. I actually walk all the way to Victoria Park, London Fields, Broadway market and Clisshold park from my flat. If you like walking, you can go everywhere from here. Finally, because I have a car I can drive to the Aldi store 5 mins down the road to do my big shop which is super handy - otherwise Tesco & organic cafes are on the doorstep. Ref: ISL
