SUMMARY
A Period TWO BEDROOM Semi-Detached Cottage close to ShaftesburyTown Centre. A wealth of Character features run throughout the property with a woodburning stove in the lounge, exposed brick walls and wooden floorboards upstairs to name some.

DESCRIPTION
The property is thought to be around 200 years old with a number of local tradesmen and their families having lived here over this period and contributing to the town of Shaftesbury. The property has been occupied by various members of the James family for around 30 years. Information from the census dating back to 1841 shows a thatcher named Thomas James lived at the property. Then came a hawker named Jesse James in 1851, followed by labourer Jasper James in 1861 and then John James, a garden labourer in 1871. A hawker named Henry Gray lived here in 1881, followed by a mason's labourer called Henry Wooldridge and his wife and three children and then a rural postman George Goffe, who lived at the property with his wife and two boys in 1901.
