The Emsley is a beautifully presented guest house offering five en-suite guest bedrooms, a landing bathroom and separate toilet. Of particular note is the private owners accommodation which is self contained and comprises of good sized sitting room, bedroom with en-suite, drawing room and private garden. Additionally there's a nice sized kitchen ideal for busy breakfast times, a handy linen store, laundry room with the cellar providing excellent storage space. The street face of The Emsley is ‘Victorian High Gothic’ in style; unique to Stratford. Similar examples of this style are to be found in Oxford. It is not listed, but has a conservation order over the exterior. Great care & attention to detail has modernised the décor and fittings / furniture while respecting The Emsley’s Victorian heritage. Guest feedback and on-line ratings have been extremely positive. Guests praise The Emsley for its central, inner-city location and can walk to almost all destinations. It’s the nearest B&B to the train station with about 30% of guests using rail.
