Once inside, you'd never know you're seconds away from the heart of Windsor. This Grade II listed house has a bright, tranquil feel throughout with a great feeling of space afforded by the high ceilings, wood flooring and a classic finish. The ground floor has an open plan feel, perfect for entertaining and daily life.
The tranquil living/dining room is set around a feature fireplace to enjoy on winter evenings while the large kitchen breakfast room is decorated in a modern classic style with a 6 burner range oven and generous seating area for 8 overlooking the secluded garden.
The main bedroom is an absolute gem. This generous double room includes a glass snug overlooking the garden, bringing a wonderful feeling of space and light into the room.
Alongside this room is the main bathroom with free-standing bath and separate shower.
At the front of the house is the 3rd bedroom, a large double with feature fireplace and views over Park Street.
Finally, bedroom 4 is a double bedroom, also ideal as an office, with built-in cupboards.
The top floor has a charming large double room with en-suite bathroom and lovely view to The Long Walk. This room is ideal as a guest suite, or private office.
The terraced garden is a wonderful sun trap and one of the largest gardens on this row. The low maintenance paved area has mature borders including Japanese ivy, honeysuckle and jasmine giving off a beautiful scent on summer evenings.
The garden has plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining, with a great view of one of the turrets belonging to the iconic Turret House at the start of The Long Walk. There is rear access to a private footpath and the boundary wall forms the start of Windsor Castle grounds, affording privacy and security.
Moor House is eligible for two resident permits, with plenty of resident parking available.
I was attracted to Windsor as it's such an interesting place to live with a great social buzz. Park Street in particular appealed to me for its friendly resident community. We have our own Whatsapp group, it's a micro community within the wider Windsor resident community.
Living next to The Long Walk and Great Park is fantastic, it's great for picnics and if we're cycling through we'll visit The Fox & Hounds in Englefield Green for great food in a lovely setting. For lunch or evenings out our favourite spots are Gilbey's in Eton and Lilly's cafe on Peascod Street which has the best coffee I've had anywhere in the world!
We entertain often, our friends are always happy to visit Windsor and we can easily host twenty people in the house. The garden is sheltered and a wonderful sun trap so we use it year round. On colder days we really enjoy the glass seating area of our bedroom, it's always warm with such a lovely outlook.
I work in London and need regular access to Oxford, both of which are easy to reach from here. I often travel west for weekends away, so having the M4 and M3 so close by has been perfect. Everything is so accessible from here.
Given how busy we are, we really value the house and garden for being so low maintenance, and the security we have being alongside the Castle. Moor House is a wonderful home, and we feel very secure when we're away too.
Lined with stunning period townhouses, Park Street is one of Windsor's most prestigious addresses. Situated in the town centre, this no-through road borders Windsor Castle and is seconds away from The Long Walk, a beautiful tree lined avenue which marks the entrance to the 4500 acre Windsor Great Park.
While largely known as a tourist destination, Windsor has a friendly resident community enjoying a vibrant social scene in the many restaurants and bars, along with regular events at the racecourse and local theatre.
The Two Brewers pub on Park Street is a favourite amongst discerning locals. Serving fantastic food in a traditional pub setting, this is a great spot to watch the world go by.
The River Thames offers leisure cruising, with its own marina, and miles of walks connecting nearby towns and riverside picnics. There's always a quiet spot to go when you're in the know!
