The village pub, The Crown Inn, is highly regarded for the quality of its food and serves the finest seasonal local produce.

The centres of Norwich and King's Lynn are within easy motoring distance and the countryside surrounding Helhoughton is attractive and well wooded being, in the main, owned by large the country estates of Raynham and Pynkney.
