SITUATION This part of south Somerset is rightly regarded as some of the finest in the south west, as the undulating hills and valleys give way to the wilder, and more dramatic scenery of west Dorset to the south. Merriott is a relatively large village situated about 2 miles north of Crewkerne which has a good range of everyday facilities including a Waitrose Supermarket and a first class butcher.
