The style has Italian architectural influence clearly the period around 1680 was a transitional time producing a rapid replacement of older, possible medieval, houses by the construction of the ‘New type’ multiple pile houses by recently emerged gentry families and the size and ambiance of ‘Scout Hall’ was achieved by its 3rd storey. Historical writings speak of ‘Grandness and Fashionable Nature of the Building’
