The Area
Aylesby is a small rural village close to the Lincolnshire Wolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are a host of facilities in nearby Market Rasen and historic Caistor, including boutique shops and convenience stores. The area has picturesque countryside and a variety of places to eat and drink.

There is a surprisingly easy route to the central motorway network, providing access to the M1 and the M62. The Humber Bridge provides easy access to Hull and the seaport, nearby Humberside airport provides international flights. The east coast is also within fairly easy reach.

The Hall

Aylesby Hall has been very significantly improved and finished to an exacting standard by the current owners. The interior has had a beautiful
refurbishment which was designed and orchestrated by Woods of Harrogate. The result is an exceptionally well presented home, superbly crafted throughout and with great attention to detail.

Some of the exemplary interior details include open fireplaces within carved surrounds and marble insets, a superior quality kitchen with Miele and
Gaggenau appliances, beautiful bathrooms and en suites. There are exceptional finishes to the thoughtfully harmonised scheme which include very high quality carpets, curtains and woven silk wallpapers.

The classically themed interior is combined with a modern infrastructure, there is a house wide sound system for large scale parties. There are also fine original details, which include mahongany woodwork and coloured glass windows. Aylesby Hall is one of the very best mansions in the region.

The principal wing provides two outstanding reception rooms which are perfect for formal occasions and the side wing houses a large living kitchen,
complete with sitting and dining areas and a cosy family snug.

There is an outstanding master suite, three further beautiful bedroom suites on the upper floors, along with two double bedrooms serviced by a classical bathroom in the guest wing. The second floor has a superb games room which is currently arranged as a home cinema and occasional bedroom.

The grounds have been exceptionally well planned and executed. There are a variety of beautiful, natural and formal gardens which offer private spaces, large lawns, areas of interest and a superb walled kitchen garden. The beautifully landscaped water garden is a master-piece, with pleached trees
splaying away from a series of ponds fed by a contemporary rhyll.

Aylesby Hall can also make a first class equestrian home as there are large areas of open parkland and grazing land.

The Ground Floor

A recessed entrance portico leads into the entrance hall which then opens into a reception hall. The halls have classical wainscot and a fine mahogany staircase rises to the first floor.

The rear hall has steps leading up to a large period styled washroom and a glass paneled door with side lights opens into the spacious dining room. There is space for two dining tables and the large window seat within the splay bay is a superb casual seating area. Beautifully crafted display cabinets sit within alcoves either side of the fireplace. The drawing room is an outstanding room for family and formal occasions, focused around an open fireplace within a large arched recess, this room is gorgeously presented and has patio doors to the side garden.

There is a large boiler room with external access, situated beyond the cloakroom. The gymnasium has 2 windows looking over the rear patio and wooden flooring. This room could also make a great playroom or cinema room and planning permission has been granted for a substantial indoor swimming pool to be extended from the back of the side wing.
