West Lavington is a popular village situated to the South West of the Vale of Pewsey. The village has a popular public house, a village shop and doctor's surgery as well as an excellent primary school, with nearby Lavington School for seniors. The private sector is well respresented by Daunstey's which is in the village. Marlborough College, Warminster School, and St Margaret's and St Mary's Calne are all within thirty minutes drive. The surrounding countryside is lovely and offers first class opportunities for walking, riding and cycling up on Salisbury Plain and Strawberry Hill. Devizes is just five miles away and has a variety of shops, supermarkets and restaurants as well as a sports centre, library and cinema. Salisbury and Bath are both within 25 miles and the railway stations of Pewsey, Chippenham and Westbury are all within half an hour (London Paddington circa 70 minutes).
From Devizes head toward Salisbury on the A360 and go through the villages of Potterne and Littleton Panell. Continue past Dauntsey's School. Just as you see the electronic sign warning of oncoming vehicles, turn right up beside the church and park there. Walk back down across the road and the house is opposite. The front door is to the right end beneath the covered porch.
