"I moved from the Black Country and into this home from new when the house was built in 2005 and have spent 11 happy years living in Hockley. For me, the location was key, close to friends, easy access to local transport, 15 minute walk into the Jewellery Quarter and no more than 5 or 10 minutes in a taxi to get into the City. Since living here I have extended the driveway to allow 2 medium sized cars to park off road and also added a patio and decking area to the rear garden. The South Easterly facing garden catches the sun all day and is a sun trap throughout the summer months. Inside, the house is decorated in a clean, crisp and modern fashion, with plenty of storage downstairs and with added built in wardrobe space within the master bedroom. From the second bedroom, you get the added extra of the view over the 'Birmingham Canal Old Line', which was absolutely a selling point when I originally purchased the house. No houses overlooking, so you really do feel the peace and quiet! The house is just far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle of the City to relax after a hard days work, but close enough to be able to pop in for the shops, bars and restaurants."
