Full description

Packed full of history, character and charm, this extremely spacious split level penthouse apartment is located inside one of Biggleswades' most historical former mill buildings on the banks of the River Ivel. Positioned just a 0.3 mile walk to the train station giving you fast access into Kings Cross. The property is over 2700sqft and has great living space in the form of two generous reception rooms, two garden rooms, 22ft kitchen diner and a study. All of these rooms have beautiful features including exposed brick walls, parquet flooring, beamed ceilings and arched windows. All four bedrooms are doubles, with the potential of splitting one further due to the size on offer. The master is a mezzanine area and can be separate from the main part of the house if required and all bedrooms have built in wardrobe storage. The lease is currently being renewed by the owner to 999 years and the apartment owns a 1/6 share of the overall freehold of the block.

Since we have moved into this house we have loved the large amount of space given to us. The house is amazing for holding parties and events with the ability to close off half the house due to the layout. The two spacious living rooms are great for having friends over and holding family get togethers, yet with the fireplace and kitchen diner it can still feel homely. With 4 large bedrooms it's perfect for raising a family allowing lots of space for playing. The house is in an incredible position with lovely country style riverside walks one side and a very short walk to the town centre and train station the other. The house is packed with character, we love the large wooden beams and exposed brick walls throughout and the natural light which comes through one of the many windows which also offer us some stunning views. The house played a large part in the history of Biggleswade being one of the many mills on the River Ivel, with the house even appearing on the stained glass window of a local church.
