Substantial family house with self contained annex and equestrian facilities including paddocks, all weather arena and stabling and lovely rural views. In all 2.2 acres.

Westridge House can be found in a no through road on the edge of the village of Compton. The property enjoys views to the west towards the village. The area is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the property is in a conservation area.

Road and rail connections are excellent, there are stations at Goring or Didcot Broadway both with direct trains to Paddington. The M4 and the A34 provide road connections in all directions. Oxford and Reading are within a drive and the bustling Market town of Newbury offers a wide range of shopping and entertainment.

Compton is well served for state schooling with a junior school and the renowned Downs Secondary School, there are also numerous independent schools in the area.

Originally built in 1931 with later additions, Westridge House provides an excellent family house with generously proportioned rooms. Of particular note are the 34' sitting/dining room and the 25' kitchen/breakfast room. The ground floor also provides a games room with doors on to a terrace at the back of the house. There is also a boot room, separate utility room and cloak room.

The first floor provides a master bedroom suite with dressing room and bathroom, together with two further bedrooms and a shower room. All of the bedrooms benefit from excellent views over the grounds and beyond.

Attached to the house is a self contained annex with its own sitting room and kitchen area and two bedrooms and a shower room upstairs.

Outside, the property is approached through electric gates in to an in/out driveway. There is a separate access from the road in to the stable area. The well maintained gardens are largely private and include a generous terrace to the rear of the house to enjoy the view. There is a stable block providing three stables, a wash area, hay store feed room and tack room. There is a further separate barn providing another stable, a store and a barn storage area. To the side of the garden there are two paddocks which in turn lead to an all weather surface 60m x 20m arena.

The property is designed with safety and security in mind for horses, pets and owners.
