We wanted to retire to the sea, and Whitstable had always been close to our hearts. We looked at lots of bungalows and became quite disheartened as they all seemed to need masses of work and they were really small. We were over the moon when we viewed this home as it offered so much more space than we ever imagined we would get. We got to keep our favourite furniture and it didn't feel as if we were downsizing too much. The garden size was perfect and being in the corner has meant we feel really private when we are outside. Over the last couple of years we have fitted a new kitchen and a new en-suite. We feel that the monthly fee is really good value for money as it includes water rates and discounted electricity.
