The Property
Northover Vicarage les to the north of Ilchester within easy reach of the A303. The access is from a small lay-by with pillars flanking the access to the private drive which leads to the house. Built in the late 19th century the house has the roomy proportions typical of the Victorian era. The front door opens into a hall with a reception area with a fireplace with a wood burning stove. At the front of the house are the two main reception rooms. The drawing room has a large bay window and an open fireplace with a marble surround. Adjacent is the sitting room again with a large bay window and a stone fireplace. Next to it is a small study and the hall then continues past the impressive staircase to a cloakroom, store and the dining room which has a large fireplace with a stone surround and an inset wood burning stove. The room also has a large fitted dresser, a french door to the garden and an open door to the kitchen.

*
The kitchen has a tiled floor, fitted cupboards, worktops, two bowl sink unit, door to back stairs, an electric Rangemaster cooker range and leading off is a pantry with flagstones, shelving and fitted cupboards. Accessed from the kitchen is an enclosed inner courtyard with store rooms and the oil central heating boiler. The staircase leads to a half landing with a linen cupboard and left a small hallway which leads to a bathroom with bath, hand basin, wc, shower, the back stairs and a double bedroom. The stairway then continues to the main landing which serves the remainder of the rooms. The two front principal bedrooms both have walk-in wardrobe rooms and en suite bathrooms. There are then two other large double bedrooms and 2 other smaller bedrooms with one being suitable as a dressing room.

Outside
Just beyond the house is the very attractive Coach house which currently provides a billiard room, garage and stores but has plenty of scope for other uses. There are other garages and a summerhouse and plenty of parking space. The grounds total around 1.6 acres with lawns, woodland and shrubberies, a large south facing decking terrace and a chicken run.
