Location/Agents View - Oaklands is a very sought after location that provides a semi rural setting but also great access to both Knebworth (2 miles away) and Welwyn North (2.9 miles away) train stations with links to London Kings Cross. Access to A1M is within superb reach from this property yet the peacefulness and private setting would not suggest that.

This superbly kept detached home is located off Oaklands Rise, and has gated entry to just three dwellings. The local residential area comprises similar detached and individually designed family sized properties. Local amenities include local pub, The North Star which is incredibly popular, shops including a newsagent, Post Office, butchers, takeaway and florist. Countryside includes woodlands like Mardley Heath, a popular spot for dog walkers and family walking.

Close by are Knebworth and Welwyn Village High Streets, Welwyn Garden City within 3 miles, and Stevenage approximately 8 miles. There are good local sports and golf clubs in the area, including a golf club in Knebworth and Odyssey health club.

The Current Owners View - We were very excited when we saw the position and foundations of this house going up nineteen years ago. We were allowed by the builder to put some features into the property which made it just perfect for us. When we were looking for a new home our requirements were good accommodation with plenty of space and good security because my wife and myself were out at business from early morning to late at night. The position of this property really suited us. We have no passing traffic, we have no one overlooking our garden so it made it very special for us.

The house inside is quite quirky with very wide staircases and very large bedrooms which is difficult to find these days.

We have very pleasant neighbours and we all get on very well even though we are only three houses in a gated private road. We have loved living in this house and will be very sorry to leave it but the time has come when it is too large for just the two of us and we need to down size. But we also know we will never find another property in a position like this.
