Laxo is a small quiet village at the end of Laxo voe in Vidlin, Shetland.
A ferry from the mainland to Symbister in Whalsay operates from the nearby Laxo ferry terminal. There is a 1km long loch called Laxo Water which is an excellent trout fishing location. Trout fishing is governed by the dates set in the fishing calendar and can be checked at the Shetland Anglers Association web site.

Much wildlife can be seen in and around the area with otters frequently seen in the voe along with seals. Many wild birds can also be seen.

There is a gas hob (with an automatic changeover between gas bottles outside) and an extractor fan above. 'Karndean' tiles are laid on the floor and there are spotlights, under unit lights, in-cupboard lights and a square central light above the island.
