I downsized from a larger family home in London as my children had fled the nest. I wanted a house where I could commute to work easily by accessible public transport, driving and travelling to central London. The two minute walk to the bus stop and twenty minute journey from East Croydon into London was fantastic.

When I walked into my house I had an emotional response that was unexplained - I threw my handbag down in the hallway and eagerly looked around it. I loved the house because it looked solid, bright and airy with an inviting cosy fireplace and manageable garden. There was no reason to say no! Ten years on my life has changed and I shall greatly miss my neighbours and the community.
