Full description

The property
The Old Rectory is a fine upstanding Welsh stone
house, with outstanding panoramic
views over Llyn Mwyngil and the crags opposite. The property is currently operated as a highly successful and award winning Bed and Breakfast business, however it could also be utilised as a stunning family home, offering attractive and well-presented accommodation for both family living and entertaining.

The house has a symmetrical façade with the front
door opening to a central hall off which are the
sitting room and drawing room that in turn opens
to the versatile orangery, presently used as a
dining room. It has an oak frame with a glazed
gable end with french doors opening into the
garden and framing the stunning view up the lake.
The kitchen is located to the rear of the property
and is presently fitted for semi-commercial purposes with an adjoining utility room and store room. A former reception room has been converted to an attractive bedroom with an en suite shower room.

A wide staircase leads to a galleried landing off
which there are three double bedrooms, two with
an en suite bath and shower cubicle, along with a
further bathroom and separate shower room. All
the rooms, identified by Welsh names, are
beautifully decorated and enjoy the views through
deep sash windows.

The Rectory Retreat
Adjoining the house is a separate self-contained
studio annexe with an open plan kitchen and living
area along with a wet room.
