The land is situated to the north of Llangollen in the County of Denbighshire. It lies within the Clwydian Range and the Dee Valley area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Description
The land extends to approximately 37 acres, the boundaries of which are shown edged red on the plan included within these particulars. The land rises from an altitude of approximately 180m to around 300m, where the boundary runs around the site below the ruins of Castell Dinas Bran. Access is via a track leading from the public adopted highway, passed the property known as Tirionfa. Much of the area provides rough grazing for sheep, whilst the lower slopes hold open woodland, dominated by mature oak with mixed conifer, including mature larch.

The land is part of the Dinas Bran Site of Special Scientific Interest, which is designated for its geology, acid and calcicolous grasslands and some particularly unusual plant species. The land also supports small areas of dry bilberry heath and scree.

The land is subject to Open Access and there are public rights of way leading up to and around the summit.
