If you are looking for an old stone rural idyll family home with views to die for, a separate block of three stables - perfect for office conversion or games-room - a large living room with log burner, solid oak floors & all of this nestled into generous gardens…..then we really do have a NewHome4U

Do you like the photos?? Well may be you would you like to view this home personally…..the good thing about NewHome4U is, we OPEN 7 DAYS a WEEK and we’re physically in the office 4U just so that you can, ‘’like no other estate agent in Mold’

Set in the hillside above Mold and yet a mere 5 minute drive from its centre, a short distance beyond the Plas Hafod hotel, this completely refurbished home is a tribute to the vision and thoroughness of its current owner. Starting from something that was a virtual shell, it has been re-roofed and completely redesigned internally producing a comfortable, well equipped and stylish three bedroom country home.

Approaching down a long sloping drive that allows ample parking, with a large lawn to one side surrounded by mature hedges, we find a white painted home with the look of a favourite Aunt’s house from a childhood book (OK Auntie didn’t have a home like this but as Carlsberg would say, if she did have a home, it would PROBABLY be just ‘like this’!).

In the centre of the front elevation is a porch, ideal place for storing shoes, coats and umbrellas on those wet winter nights. The porch gives us access to the solid oak floored hallway which in turn opens out into a square space, with the kitchen door to the right.

The kitchen and attached utility room are floored in a water impervious laminate, at a cost similar to the previous solid oak but, proving even more robust at coping with the strains of family life while still looking the part! So much thought has gone into the construction of this great family home.
The kitchen is fitted out to a very high standard, there’s an electric hob and oven with extractor hood over, mains gas being unavailable here. An archway leads us though to the similarly floored utility area, with further units, plumbing for washing machine, tumble drier and the freshly installed new oil fired condensing combi boiler. Another door from this room reveals the downstairs cloakroom with its hand basin and lavatory.

Moving back though the kitchen to the hallway, a door opposite takes us into the formal dining room. This delightful room has double aspect windows making it light and airy. The side one also incorporates a set of French doors, giving the chance for almost al fresco dining, which to my mind can only be a good thing. The room is easily large enough to accommodate the full sized table that a family home ‘like this’ makes necessary; and for the social gatherings of all the friends you never knew you had, until people realised you had a home like this…..

A large set of double doors gives access from the hall into the living room. This fabulous room runs across the full width of the home and features two deep bay windows overlooking the rear gardens, maximising the already generous light levels. An inner wall houses a magnificent marble fireplace containing an attractive multi fuel type log (or anything else) burner, of sufficient size to guarantee that the bitterest of winters leave you unaffected.

Going upstairs to the landing and moving around clockwise, we find the smallest of the bedrooms on our left. Although I feel ‘smallest’ may give the wrong impression, as it is easily large enough to make a very comfortable double room and, featuring double aspect windows, is a delightfully airy place to be.

Next to here is the second bedroom; overlooking the garden and offering far reaching views towards the Cheshire plain, this is a large and comfortable room but with the cosy feel that pervades this lovely home.

Also facing the front of the home is the master bedroom. With identical views to the second room and of a similar size, this is set apart by its en-suite bathroom. This has a window to the side of the house and features the same waterproof laminate floor found in the kitchen and utility room, along with the usual hand basin and lavatory. Fully tiled throughout and with a vertical towel rail/radiator, there is also a huge mains powered walk-in shower that is almost big enough to be called a wet room.

Finally we find the family bathroom. Tiled in similar style to the en-suite and with a continuation of the waterproof laminate flooring, this again features a vertical towel rail/radiator, hand basin, lavatory and in this case, a bath with glass shower screen and mains powered shower to guarantee pressure at all times.

Stepping out through the back door we find a patio/yard area, facing the triple stall stable block. This is all ready to accept horses or, should the sport of kings not interest you, could simply and cheaply be converted into versatile workshops or office space. Having been recently re-roofed with a rubberised covering, this is a blank piece of paper for your imagination.

Moving anti-clockwise round the home brings us into the rear garden. A lovely lawned sun-trap with a paved seating-come-dining-come-lazing-come-BBQ area, perfect for wasting away those Sunday afternoons as you remind yourself...... just how lucky you are to live here.

All in all this is a home that we sometimes dream about – but then wake up and realise we’re still in the same boring home we thought made us happy! Positioned in what seems to be open countryside but is in reality just up the road from Mold, yet with stunning open views, it reminds us of the sort of home written about by children’s authors. Indeed as a place to grow up, it is nothing short of idyllic. Summers spent in the large and interesting gardens, doing whatever a child may imagine and winters spent basking in the warmth as the family and friends gather round the log-burner. The kitchen is equipped in the way you would choose yourself, the central heating boiler is newly replaced, the kitchen, bathroom and en-suite are floored in waterproof laminate with all the look of wood but none of the impracticalities, the stables are ripe for use or conversion, the list goes on. This is a golden opportunity….to miss out would almost be criminal.

If you like the sound of this, call us and we can arrange for you to come and have a closer look inside.
