Description

Keepers Cottage is a fine example of a pretty character cottage, situated in an idyllic woodland country location with attractive local stone elevations beneath a slate roof and finished with mellow stone mullion windows. The cottage has approx. 1,977 sq ft of spacious and versatile accommodation, arranged over 3 floors. The home previously two cottages has a number of period features including wood burners and fireplaces, along with wooden floors and exposed beams.

To the ground floor is a large sitting room with a fireplace at either end, as well as direct access via French doors to the garden. There is a spacious kitchen/diner with bespoke fitted kitchen, cream coloured Aga, wood burner and open-tread timber stairway to the first floor. Leading off the kitchen is a practical utility/boot room with cloakroom and tiled floor.

To the first floor is a master bedroom with a stylish en suite, complete with Iroko wooden bath, cabinetry, twin wash hand basins and sleek tiled floor. There is a further double bedroom and family bathroom.

To the second floor is the large and spacious second bedroom, which spans the width of the home and features a wooden floor, vaulted ceilings, triple roof lights and windows to the front with open views.

This well-appointed country cottage on the edge of Frome is the perfect getaway for those seeking a slice of the good life, in the heart of Somerset.

Outside
The secluded enclosed woodland garden is approached along a country track, which leads up and into the property via a five-bar gate. This opens onto a large gravel parking area. The gardens are private and enclosed with an outlook through the neighbouring woods at the front and side, and over the open fields and countryside to the other side and rear. The gardens are predominantly laid to lawn with a large paved terrace, which is accessed off the house and is ideal for entertaining. The private and secluded position makes for a truly magical location.
