Full description

Smart on the outside, with an interior STYLISHLY designed to maximise the flow of LIGHT and people throughout the THREE FLOORS, the result is a welcoming home ideal for SOPHISTICATED entertaining.

Pull into the large driveway with parking for two cars, a rarity in this area and walk up a few stairs, past the pretty front garden leading to the decorative, pale blue door. Inside, original parquet flooring runs along the hallway and you can’t help but admire the period features throughout, including original fireplaces, coving and sash windows.

To your right, the welcoming lounge has a peaceful ambiance, helping you to relax in the evenings and along the hallway, a separate dining room overlooks the sunny south west facing garden. Straight ahead of you is a wonderfully lit kitchen/breakfast room with a separate utility room and walk-in shower room. Stairs lead down to the basement which has a modern shower room and could be used as a fourth bedroom.

In the kitchen a side door leads out to the garden, filled with flower beds, a large lawn and a patio area, it’s the perfect place to enjoy all year round, hosting BBQ’s on the patio and dining under the stars.

On the first floor, there is a beautiful modern bathroom with a white, three-piece suite and shower over the bath. There are three double bedrooms, one of them being the master suite with built in wardrobes and a bright bay window, all wonderfully presented.

Just a short walk into Redhill you will be able to enjoy a stroll through the town and Redhill station has regular services into London, Brighton and Gatwick. Reigate High Street is approximately a 20-minute walk and there are some great schools to choose from in the local area. We would highly recommend walking along Grovehill Road to Deli-on the hill, where you can get a scrumptious homemade sausage roll and fresh coffee!

"Absolutely stunning... this detached home is oozing with period charm, yet has a fashionable pallet and new additions bringing it into the 20th century! In one of my favourite roads, it's so close to the town and station its a fantastic family home!"

"We moved to Redhill from SW London looking for the perfect home to start our family. We instantly fell in love with Grovehill Road. The beautiful period features, high ceilings and large bay windows give it such a light and airy feel, and it was the only house we viewed where all of the bedrooms were huge, which has been great for both children to have a big space of their own. In recent years we have fully modernised it to make it a comfortable family home.

One of our favourite spaces is the garden. Unusually large for a house so close to the the town centre and SW facing, it is so peaceful and sunny and is not over-looked by neighbours so it’s lovely and private too. In Spring the cherry blossoms are breathtakingly beautiful and the small pond at the back has given so much joy to our children as they have watched the tadpoles turn into frogs each year!

There is a great community feel in the area. An active residents association organises an annual street party, trick or treating and Christmas carols as well as many other events. With two young children, having the Belfry shopping centre a 5 minute walk away has been a life saver when I’ve needed to pop out for essentials. We have the beautiful Redhill Common just a short walk away with views on a sunny day all the way out to the south coast. Commuting wise it’s been fantastic as you can be on the train platform in just 6 minutes! We hope a new buyer gets as much happiness and great memories from Grovehill Rd that we have been lucky enough to receive."
