Seller's Insight - Situated on the outer edge of Nuneaton, Warwickshire’s largest town, 5 Slade Close is fantastically positioned to enjoy close links with the town whilst having open countryside right on the doorstep. The plot, which originally formed part of a large mature garden, was bought by Jay and her husband in 1984 to build a home to their own specification. “We were attracted to the quiet location surrounded by farmland and the easy access into local towns for work, schools and amenities – it felt like a lovely safe place to bring up our children and it’s served us well”, says Jay. The house, situated in a cul-de-sac of only nine houses, has been impeccably looked after and regularly updated; “all nine plots were bought around the same time, with an individual house built on each. Many of the original buyers are still here, making it a well-established, quiet and friendly neighbourhood”, explains Jay.
Nuneaton is a thriving town offering regular markets and good amenities, yet for immediate convenience there are shops, post office, pharmacy, schools and Nuneaton Golf Course within a 10-minute walk from the property. The location makes for quick access to villages, country pubs and walks – “it’s a great place to enjoy a convenient but good country life away from urban issues and traffic”, says Jay. The property is well positioned to commute to a number of towns and cities by road or rail, with London taking around an hour by train. Birmingham Airport in a 25-minute drive away.
