I looked at twenty-three properties before I came across this house, but the minute I set eyes on it I knew I'd found the one. It's a lovely big family home with an amazing wrap-around garden that extends to 0.673 of an acre; it sits on a highly desirable road in one of the most sought after villages in the area, and while the house is surrounded by mile upon mile of glorious rolling countryside, it's just eleven miles from the centre of London. For me, the combination of property and location ticked so many boxes.

The house is set well away from what is actually a very quiet road and the garden stretches out from the back of the property and almost appears to meld with the rolling countryside beyond, so the views are really quite incredible. In fact, I often sit out there and find it hard to believe I'm so close to the hustle and bustle of the central London; I can be at home and feel totally away from it all or hop in the car or on the train and be in the West End in well under an hour. I don't think I'll ever find anywhere quite like it again.
