Sitting just outside the town of Melksham, The Spa houses were intended to mirror the fashionable destination of Bath. Built in 1815, the notion of taking the waters here never really took off but the elegant buildings remain and are truly glorious examples of Georgian architecture.

Melksham is a small market town located between Bath and Devizes and offers a wide range of amenities including restaurants and bars, a wide range of shops and supermarkets including Waitrose and good sports facilities. Bath is approximately 12.5 miles away with its excellent range of cultural, leisure and shopping facilities.

There is first class schooling nearby from the Melksham Oak secondary school. In the private sector, Dauntsey's, St Margaret's and St Mary's Calne and of course, a wide selection in Bath itself are all within an easy commute.

There is a railway station a few minutes from the house with an excellent service to London Paddington (around 1.5 hours), Bath forty minutes and Trowbridge, less than ten minutes. Access to the M4 is approximately ten miles to the north.

From Devizes, head toward Bath on the A361, down Caen Hill, straight ahead at the traffic lights and continue through to the outskirts of Melksham. Pass George Ward School on the right and, at the large roundabout, take the third exit towards the town centre. Take the next, small right hand turn which will bring you back upon yourself number 404 will be found there on the left hand side.
