Full description

The property is a Grade 2 listed disused church building constructed around 1840 of solid brick and stone construction and slate pitched roof and consists of a nave, chancel, tower and porch. There are two later additions in the form of vestries, one a lean-to and the other with a parapet wall. There is a parking area to the rear adjoining the churchyard, the latter of which is not included in the ownership to be sold. There is a derelict building adjoining the site, again not in the ownership to be sold, which was a former church school which has remained undeveloped since it was sold in the 1980's and site which housed a timber church hall until this was destroyed by fire.

PLEASE NOTE: This property will be subject to restrictive covenants.

Situation
The property is situated on High Street Goldenhill, an arterial road to the north of the conurbation which was once the main A50 from Liverpool to Stoke on Trent. The area is mixture of tertiary commercial properties fronting onto this road and residential mainly late Victorian terraced housing behind. Kidsgrove is within a short distance where the majority of local amenities can be found including a Tesco store, discount retailer and many small shops. Part of the site ownership is on a junction which limits the development potential as sight lines need to be observed.
