Keepers Cottage is a traditional listed cottage that has been enlarged with a striking contrasting contemporary single storey extension standing in a large garden plot. It was originally designed by the nationally important architect Willian Curtis Green in the Vernacular Revival style in 1936 and then extended in 2011.

The original cottage was constructed to a high standard with attractive steeply pitched slate roof under comfortable rendered walls with granite detailing. Inside period detailing includes fireplaces, flooring, door and window furniture and joinery all of which has been improved with modern decoration.

The contrasting extension is of a thoroughly contemporary style with much use of glass to bring in plenty of light creating open spaces for living. The kitchen dining room faces out across the valley, whilst the living room opens out through wide sliding doors onto a delightfully sheltered south facing terrace.
