SITUATION
The popular Mid-Cornwall village of Cardinham lies on the south-east fringes of Bodmin Moor, where it drops away to form the wooded Glynn Valley. The Parish Church of St Meubred's dates back to the 15th century and is dedicated to an Irish missionary who came over to preach to the moorland folk but ended up being beheaded in Rome. The village has its own Primary School, a Parish Hall and nearby Cardinham Woods which offers 650 acres of woodland maintained by the Forestry Commission, providing plenty of walks and cycle tracks through the valley terrain. The major town of Bodmin is around 3.5 miles away and easy to access from the A30 which is close at hand.
