The Vendor's View - We bought the property in 1999 and it has been our family home since then. The fantastic location drew us here, which has been ideal and something that we all are going to miss!
It's a very light and airy, spacious house and great for entertaining. The drawing room runs along the entire side of the house, and is a very large yet comfortable room with a log burner. Everyone tends to congregate in the kitchen most though, perhaps thanks to the AGA! The family tends to spend a lot of time here and in the attached casual dining area.
The extension is also very popular and we have a 3/4 size snooker table in the space; this was a great playroom for the kids when they were little as it is just off the kitchen. The garden is secure, enclosed and very easy to maintain.
When we moved in with our 3 children, the proximity to Blean Primary School was perfect, just a short walk down the hill. As they got older and wanted their own independence they were able to make their way into Canterbury city centre and the many schools there on the bus from the stop near the house.
The best thing about the location for me, is the local shop just opposite. My friends often joke and call it my larder, and it has been a real lifeline for me as a busy mum, who often had unexpected visitors and children's friends here for sleepovers. It also has a post office, which is so useful in this age of on-line shopping when you're sending or returning parcels. I'm definitely going to have to be more organised in my next house, and I will really miss the shop!
We will be very sad to leave this lovely spacious house, which has been our family home for the past 17 years.
