This stunning contemporary and unique property replaces the original bungalow and has just been completed by the owners with great attention to detail and to a very high standard. Whether it is the spacious corridors that could easily take a wheelchair, the superb Polish oak staircase or the stunningly designed kitchen/diner, bathrooms and first floor balcony, there is the 'wow factor' wherever you look from the moment you first see the property.
The vast kitchen/diner is the real hub of the household and where the family are likely to spend much of their time and where friends will be able to enjoy a dinner party. It includes a beautifully designed Howden kitchen with high spec Zebrano wood worktops and breakfast bar as well as two built in ovens and a microwave, induction hob, integrated dishwasher and fridge/freezer. While from the dining area you can wander out through patio doors onto a large and secluded terrace – ideal for those summer barbecues and relaxing in the sunshine. There is a gorgeous light lounge area with a plethora of windows on two sides giving you an excellent view across the garden so that you can keep an eye on children playing outside.
Three double bedrooms branch off the large ground floor corridor including the master with its trendy en suite and walk in dressing room. Another bedroom also has a walk in dressing room that could always be converted into an en suite bathroom while the third bedroom includes built in wardrobes. The amazing family bath/shower room is also on the ground floor.
Walking up the delightful staircase you are in for even more surprises. You will find a very useful study that could also be a small bedroom or nursery as well as an enormous bedroom 4 / studio large enough for a full size table tennis table that could also become the master bedroom as there is plumbing available to incorporate en suite facilities. This room leads out onto an amazing balcony where you are not overlooked by anyone and where you can imagine sitting out here on a summer's day enjoying your morning coffee or evening nightcap.
As well as the large patio outside there is an attractive enclosed garden with a recently planted orchard and mature shrubs and trees. The lawn is big enough for children and pets to safely run around while the charming tree house and trampoline built into the ground provide even more fun for the kids. At the front of the house there is a driveway for off street parking.
What the Owner says:
We bought the property about five years ago because we loved the quiet and peaceful location. As it is a cul de sac it is also very safe and secure for our children. At the same time we are not far from excellent local schools, the town centre and the sandy beaches and we can walk through the adjacent alleyway to the main road for the bus or to the local convenience store and Dumpton Park station as well as the Brown Jug – an archetypal English pub.
We originally decided to extend the property but ultimately replaced the existing bungalow to our own high spec design and build as we thought it was going to be our 'forever' home. However our plans have changed so we hope that another family will be able to enjoy everything we have put into creating this lovely contemporary house.
Journey times to London from Dumpton Park station are a little longer than if you go from Ramsgate but it is only about eight minutes drive to Ramsgate station where you can get the high speed train to London. Broadstairs is a delightful town with annual events such as Folk Week, the Dickens Festival and the Food Fair. It also includes the excellent North Foreland Golf club and is not far from the Westwood Cross shopping centre, health clubs and a cinema and casino complex. There are also some very good state and private schools close by and the Broadstairs cricket club is on our road so the children can go over there without having to cross any main roads.”
