Secondary schooling is available at Waid Academy in Anstruther, a little over a mile away, where there is a Co-op supermarket, as well as a further range of local facilities. There are many golf courses in the area including all the world famous St Andrews courses, Kingsbarns, Elie and Crail. St Andrews, the "Home of Golf", is only 11 miles away. This world famous town has a good range of shops and professional services and is well known for its university which is one of the oldest in Britain. Co-educational private education is available at St Leonards.

Access by rail, road and air is good. Cupar (16 miles) and Leuchars (17 miles) railway stations are on the main Aberdeen to London line and provide a fast link to Edinburgh and Dundee. There are two further bedrooms, one of which is currently used as a study and hobby room, and one with pretty views over the harbour. These are served by a bathroom which has a bath with shower over, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Outside

The garden is accessed from the house via the back door and can also be reached from the wynd/passageway which runs to the sea wall from which there are two gates. The main part of the garden, which is lawned and bounded by a wooden post and wire fence, is set on some old building foundations which gives it an elevated position, perfect for enjoying the panoramic views over the coastal skerries and Firth of Forth. There is a glazed summerhouse and a small workshop both with electric heating and lighting. The lower section of the garden is a wide gravel pathway leading to the wynd and sea wall. There is plenty of storage space for wheelie bins and logs on a second path leading to the access to the side of the house.
