4 bedroom detached house for saleKettle Hill Road, Eastling, Faversham
A home of great character and charming features this attractive Grade II Listed four-bedroom detached period cottage is situated in the sought after and picturesque village of Eastling, a small village 4½ miles to the southwest of Faversham, Kent. It is set in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the slope of the North Downs. We understand from the vendor that parts of the cottage date back to the 17th Century.
Worthy of particular note are the well-tended gardens, a botanical masterpiece which we are confident will inspire and delight even the most discerning of buyers. The current owners have spent countless hours transforming the grounds of this enchanting property into what you find today with its various garden ‘rooms’ hosting a wide variety of plants and trees in well-defined spaces including impressive vegetable garden and an organic/ nature pond. The cottage stands on a large plot of approximately just under half an acre and boasts a wealth of attractive and appealing features including feature fireplaces and beamed ceilings amongst many others. The property has one reception room plus a large kitchen/diner and a conservatory overlooking the gardens.
Eastling itself has a pub, church, primary school and a village hall. There are also numerous routes for riding, walkers and cyclists. Nearby Faversham offers a wide variety of independent shops, bars and restaurants and also offers numerous leisure and recreational facilities. As well as train services to London Victoria, London Bridge and Cannon Street, Faversham also offers a high-speed train service to London St Pancras.

The Vendors View - The factor that first attracted us was the age of the property and the large gardens, as well as its position in the centre of a small pretty village. That being said, it wasn't until we stepped inside that we knew we just had to live here.
It’s difficult to say which is our favourite feature or room as we really love it all. We tend to gather in the cosy dining/kitchen room, but we also enjoy a good book in front of the fire in the sitting room. However, the conservatory/dining room has an old vine and it is a favourite place to entertain friends surrounded by bunches of grapes!
Eastling is a very friendly village with a great pub, beautiful old church, modern village hall and school. We particularly like the location. It is lovely to live in a rural village with the market town of Faversham just 15 minutes away. It’s ideal to be so close to motorways and yet be unable to hear the traffic, and the ability to catch the fast train to London for work or a day out! The Channel Tunnel and ferries are so close that we can also enjoy a day out in France! The best of all worlds we think!
We will miss the totally private garden the most. It’s wonderful to be able to relax outside, without being overlooked.
