About the Area
Redlynch is a charming hamlet surrounded by unspolit countryside just a few miles from the popular market town of Bruton. Bruton is a small historic town in the foothills of the Brue Valley, surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside a few miles north of Castle Cary and within easy reach of Wincanton, Yeovil, Sherborne, Glastonbury, Frome, Wells and Bath. The town has a railway station, which is the Bristol-Weymouth line with a regular service to Bath Spa currently and will have a direct line to London Waterloo by the end of 2016. There are also good Inter-City services at nearby Castle Cary (Paddington). Bruton dates back to Roman times and today is a charming small town with various shops and amenities, including the newly opened 'Hauser & Wirth' Art & Exhibition Gallery, the ever popular dining experience 'At The Chapel', and of course an excellent choice of schools including Bruton School for Girls, King's School, Sexey's School and Sunny Hill...

History
The Clock House dates back to the early part of the 18th century. It is a Grade II listed Georgian building which was originally the Coach-House and Stable Block for Redlynch House which lies to the East. In 1901, Sir Edward Lutyens was commissioned by the Earl of Ilchester to design the current Grade II listed Redlynch House. A notable feature is the imposing Lutyens Gate within the Grade II listed North wall. The Clock House was converted to apartments in 1985.

The Property
From the fully glazed entrance tower, the front door of 3 The Clock House opens into a light entrance hall, with views overlooking the rear courtyard towards the gardens beyond. The dual aspect spacious sitting room has glorious views towards the Blackmore Vale to the South and extensive gardens to the North. The kitchen, also with glorious views, is set on the sunny side of the property and has a good range of units with a wood work-surface, built in fridge freezer, two and half bowl stainless steel sink, electric cooker and hob with extractor fan over, washing machine and dishwasher. Both bedrooms are double rooms with built in wardrobes and have windows overlooking the front lawn with views to the surrounding countryside. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom comprising; a bath, with shower over, pedestal basin and wc. There is a further shower room with a shower unit, pedestal basin and wc.

Outside
Approached from a long private driveway, Redlynch Park offers beautiful and immaculately tended gardens approaching 22 acres. To the front of the Clock House and Redlynch House are manicured lawns with well planted flowerbeds, offering peacefulness and breathtaking views towards Redlynch Lake and the Blackmore Vale beyond. A separate garage block lies to the West of the building where there is a single garage, with electric light/power, designated for the exclusive use of 3 The Clock House.
