The specific long-term objectives of the Plan at a local level are to:
- Rejuvenate the private sector housing stock;
- Promote the renewal and strengthening of the local housing market; and
- Transform the public realm and image of this important neighbourhood and city "gateway".

In doing so the Plan aims to:
- Create a balanced, popular and safe neighbourhood;
- Address the needs and aspirations of current and future residents and business investors;
- Address the current neighbourhood and housing issues; and
- Support and contribute to Bradfords wider neighbourhood renewal and economic development objectives.
