The Vendor's View - I was looking to move back to St. Nicholas-at-Wade as a place that I had loved living in previously, when I came across this property. It had just been completely refurbished and was absolutely perfect for my family.
My favourite room is the conservatory, which we added about 5 years ago. It is a lovely quiet place to relax all year round but especially in springtime. It’s great to be able to return home and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine in there looking out over the garden.
I love the community spirit of St. Nicholas-at-Wade with its lovely safe atmosphere, yet accessible location. It’s wonderful to live in a village setting in the countryside and just a short drive from the many beautiful sandy beaches; but also be within easy reach of Canterbury and catch the train at nearby stations (which now offer the high speed service).
The local school is fantastic and it’s within the catchment area of many well-regarded secondary and grammar schools. There also a couple of nice village pubs within walking distance and good bus services, which was essential for us having teenagers, really allowing them to have their own independence.
Now that I’m relocating, I know I’m going to really miss the area, especially the proximity to so many wonderful beaches and the coastline. This has been a great family home for us over the past 10 years and I have many happy memories.
